Lines in the Austrian Alps

I love this image because it shows the true scope of the Alps. Our little "Hausberg" or "home mountain" in the foreground is accessed by a quick 10-minute hike above the terrain park at Stubai Glacier, and I always tried to snag a line or two on good days after opening the park. On this day we hit some lines on the Hausberg before climbing up another peak on the opposite side of the valley, where I shot this picture from. As great as the mini-golf lines on the Hausberg look in this shot, they're dwarfed by the monstrous mountains disappearing into the distance which hint at an almost infinite sprawl of much, much bigger terrain to be skied. back to homepage
