I just got back from what turned out to be a weeklong trip to Les Arcs, France for the Red Bull Linecatcher event. With endless steep freeride terrain, perfect powder, and a gaggle of great skiers to ride with, this trip and this competition were incredible experiences! Because of his inimitable style and down-to-earth personality, Nicky Keefer is one of my favorite skiers. Here's an interview I did with him for Powder Magazine's website. Much of his philosophical rambling was cut out to satisfy the short attention spans of the web reader, but maybe you'll still understand why I subtitled it "Down the rabbit hole." As fun as it was to do this interview with Nicky and listen to his thoughts, the best part was using terrain park skiing and rap music to ruffle the feathers of a few grouchy old Powder readers.
