“Il Castello”

The 2013 Nine Knights presented a one-of-a-kind, never-before-conceived feature to the snow world. Twin 75-foot kickets, a 30-foot quarterpipe, dual halfpipes dropping off the sides of the feature… this was something you have to see to believe. It was my good fortune to be a part of the crew to build and maintain this incredible feature.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes story on what went down for the ski website Newschoolers, as well as a review of the big air event that was not to be, and a “Building Nine Knights” photo gallery for the ESPN Freeskiing Blog.
